Paris, ghost town
In a few days in Paris will take up residence with been immersed in its quietude of August, but its Parisians. Only loafers, dreamers, tourists, artists and irreducible, by choice or under pressure will walk the sunny streets of the city of lights, cleared of traffic jams, its pollution, its endless queues and its excited at the edge of nervous breakdown. Soon a ghost town in some way. The opportunity to discover or rediscover Paris, under a different angle. Do you know Billy Fog?
How did we spend our summer road without noticing the fabulous book illustration, half comic, half sketchbook, William Bianco?! First, a big thank you to P'tit Lu, illustrator talent, telling me about this book on the antics of a little boy, a lover of stories and morbid fantasy creatures. If you're a fan of Tim Burton, himself a fan of Vincent Price, himself a fan of Edgar Allan Poe, you'll love it! His name is Billy Fog, could have been part of siblings Baudelaire Orphans and "suffer" a gift of sight disorder. This enables him to live his dreams and waking nightmares. It is not bad, just a little turbulent, with the irresistible desire to scare and be scared. I can not say more work is so rich. The best is to get, as quickly as possible and eyes closed, "Billy Fog, the gift of sight disorder" by William Bianco, published by Editions Soleil. A beautiful book collector you will not read in one go, but piecemeal. In any case, you're not ready to let go anytime soon. Hats off to this publishing project that beautifully renders homage to the "sad end of Oyster Boy," a collection of poems and drawings macabre haunted by death under the hand of the director of Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd .
